FOGEL DE CENTROAMÉRICA, S.A. has been ISO certified since February of 2004, and recently switched to the latest ISO 9001:2008 norm along with FOGEL ANDINA, S.A., with the scope of manufacturing, commercialization and design of refrigerators and freezers for commercial applications.
ISO 17025:2005
Since August 2009, FOGEL's labs are accredited under ISO 17025:2005 norms, with the scope of energy efficiency testing.
UNDERWRITERS LABORATORIES CERTIFIED LABORATORIES
Underwriter’s Laboratories Inc. have certified FOGEL’s laboratories for the design of commercial appliances that comply with the electrical safety and sanitation norms of the United States.
CEC CERTIFIED LABORATORIES
The state's primary energy policy and planning agency, which promotes energy efficiency through appliance standards, has authorized our laboratories in Guatemala to test appliances for energy efficiency certifications in the U.S.
AWARDS:
INDUSTRIAL RESTRUCTURING FOR PROTECTION OF THE OZONE LAYER
In 1996, REFRIGUA/FOGEL received an award from the United Nations and the Guatemalan government, for being the first commercial refrigeration company in Latin America and second worldwide in underdeveloped countries, to eliminate 100% of the CFC'S from its products in an effort to protect the ozone layer.
CentraRSE AWARD: FIRST PLACE IN ENVIRONMENT CATEGORY
The CentraRSE award is a recognition given to the best CSR practice and success story in Guatemala.
On November 11, 2009, CentraRSE recognized FOGEL DE CENTROAMÉRICA, S.A. with the first place award in the Environment category for FOGEL's informative campaign called "Responsible Management of Refrigerant" This awareness campaing and technical workshop consists of training our customers to manage R-134a refrigerant in a responsible manner. The seminar presents practices to recover, recycle and reclaim refrigerant gas.
